Perhaps you have not heard about the trend, however lemon is an excellent fruit to incorporate into your daily life .  However, let’s face it, lemon is a tart fruit, and it’s unlikely that I could convince you to sit down and just peel  and eat one. That’s why mixing lemon with water is such an excellent, healthy idea.

Lemon is extremely healthy for your body for two major reasons.  First of all, lemon is very high in vitamin C, and incorporating it daily into your diet, can help your body to boost its levels of vitamin C, which are known to help improve its immune system and defend itself against virus and bacterial attacks.  Additionally, vitamin C helps your body grow collagen more rapidly, which can help it heal faster after injury. The second major reason Lemon is healthy for the body is that when digested, lemon leaves behind an alkaline residue.  Alkaline residues help negate the acidic compounds in your body, which might be harmful.  There is a lot of acidity in your body, as most of your metabolic wastes are acidic.  Even daily activities such as breathing, or eating sugary foods, can give your body, acidic levels.  The alkaline from lemons can help your body negate the acidity.

Additionally, a lot of people have begun mixing lemon with hot water as a way to help them lose a little weight.  Lemon does help your body’s digestive systems work better, and can be a great way to lose a few pounds of unnecessary waste.
